It could have been so easy.
I had a nice flat, a good job with the Oneiroi where I was working to expand our reality, and even my love life appeared to be moving in a promising direction. In short: Things were looking tiptop. Then, however, the situation at work started going downhill, the Stagefright made its appearance and complicated matters, and, well, one thing led to another. Suddenly there was blood on my hands, which you may take literally. From this point onwards, it was really just a matter of time until I fell through the levels - or ascended through them. That is for you to decide.
It is all rather confusing, I am afraid. Just like in a play. But think less "Comedy of Errors" and more "No Exit". That is not very helpful, is it?
I think you had best see for yourself. Fair enough. Clear the stage for the first act!
