Joanne Miyang Cho is Professor and chair of History at William Paterson University of New Jersey, USA. She is co-editor of Transcultural Encounters between Germany and India (2014), Germany and China (2014), and Transnational Encounters between Germany and Japan (2016). She is currently co-editing German-Korean relations. She is co-editor of Palgrave Series in Asian German Studies.Douglas T. McGetchin is Associate Professor of History at Florida Atlantic University, USA where he studies transnational connections between Modern Germany and South Asia. His publications include Indology, Indomania, and Orientalism (2009) and several edited volumes (2004, 2014) on German-Indian connections. He is a recipient of Nehru-Fulbright and German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) grants.
