Die enthaltenen ethnographischen Texte wurden von den Herausgebern in den Jahren von 1977 bis 2015 zusammengestellt, transkribiert und übersetzt. Die Transkriptionen der Originalausgaben aus den Jahren 1993 bis 1995 sowie deren Fotografien sind Bestandteil der mitgelieferten CD-ROM. Die beschriebenen Lebensbereiche umfassen:
